LONDON, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- An estimated 2,000 runners donned their Kris Kringle best to run and walk a 6k course at the London Santa Run.

Santa Clauses of all ages gathered Saturday in London's Battersea Park to run the 6k course -- about 3.7 miles -- and raise money for Disability Snowsport UK and other charities.

Each runner paid a $28 participation fee -- or $25 if they entered before Nov. 1 -- and the money covered the cost of the Santa suits provided to each runner before the race.

"Put runners in fancy dress and suddenly a run around the park becomes 10 times more fun!" Santa Run organizers wrote online.
