Forest Grove Police Department Cpt. Mike Herb told Time he was unsure what exactly about the song drove the woman to shout at the man before reaching out to authorities. "It's not clear if the caller would have been more or less upset if it was a different genre or whether it was just the talent lacking in the whistling," he said. The man had left the area when police had arrived, but they later tracked him down and reported he did not abandon the song as he "whistled his way back home."
