JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK, India, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- A tiger in northern India was caught on camera charging aggressively at an elephant and changing its mind once it got a good look at its intended prey's size.
The video, recorded Nov. 17 in Jim Corbett National Park, shows a tour group riding an elephant on a road while the tiger watched from the long grass at the side of the path.
A Jeep facing away from the scene reverses, apparently for a better look at the tiger, and stops a short distance away to watch the scene.
The tiger eventually bolts from the grass and runs aggressively toward the elephant, but it stops abruptly just before reaching the creature and decides to run away instead.
The filmer wrote the scene was "a wonderful hair raising experience."
