Friendly deer gives cat a tongue bath in Ontario yard

GIBSONS, Ontario, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A British Columbia resident's guard cat was filmed shirking its duties in favor of fraternizing with the enemy -- an affectionate deer that was generous with licks.

Steve Cavers posted a video to YouTube showing his brother's cat, Onca, lying on its back while getting a tongue bath from the affectionate deer in the town of Gibsons.

Cavers said Onca is well known to be friendly with the local deer.

"My brother's cat Onca liked to go and socialize with deer when they wandered through the yard. Apparently that's a tasty cat," Cavers wrote.
