SINGAPORE, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A Singapore student captured video of an unusual visitor to his college's campus -- a casually strolling pangolin.

Ong Kah Jing posted a video to Facebook showing the pangolin descending a flight of outdoor stairs Saturday at the National University of Singapore's University Town.

Jing wrote Animal Concerns Research and Education Society rescuers were contacted about the pangolin after he filmed his "impromptu documentary."

ACRES wildlife group director Kalai Balakrishnan told Singapore's The New Paper online that the animal was "calm and just kept walking" when rescuers located it on campus about 10:45 p.m.

Balakrishnan said the pangolin was given a health checkup before being turned over to a local zoo to be microchipped and released.
