CHENGDU, China, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A sneaky panda cub at a Chinese facility showed off its escaping skills by slipping between metal bars and bolting out an open gate.
The video, posted to Weibo by iPanda, shows a panda "nanny" open the gate to one of two cages housing panda cubs at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and carry one of the baby bears out of the enclosure.
A panda watching from the adjacent cage seizes the opportunity and slips between the cars separating the cages.
The cub quickly enters the other cage and dashes out through the open door behind the worker.
The panda nanny swiftly foils the escape by grabbing the runaway.
Footage included at the end of the video shows the cub appears to have made a habit of slipping between the bars to travel from cage to cage.
