Police said Meyer's home had several exotic animals roaming freely inside, including three tiger cubs, an adult big cat variously reported to be a tiger or a cougar, a fox and a skunk.
Meyer told officers she also owned several monkeys, which she said had violent tendencies and had previously attacked a person. The monkeys were not at the house at the time of the search.
She said she had permits to keep the tigers, but not the other animals.
The suspect allegedly told game wardens "the tigers at their current ages were dangerous and could kill."
Police said an endangerment investigation was opened due to Meyer's 14-year-old daughter living in the home.
Meyer was arrested Nov. 7 at a home in Pahrump, Nev., where the three tigers were found in the backyard and eight monkeys were found inside the home. Police said the tigers were feeding on raw chicken and were being supervised by a 17-year-old.
Meyer was ordered held in lieu of $2,000 bail in Nevada's Nye County Jail. Authorities said she is expected to be extradited back to Texas to face charges.
