NOGALES, Ariz., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- U.S. Customs agents in Arizona arrested a man found to be concealing nearly 3 pounds of meth in packages of tortillas.

Customs and Border Protection said officers at the Port of Nogales searched a 62-year-old man using the pedestrian crossing when a narcotics-sniffing canine indicated the presence of drugs Friday.

The agency said the middles of the tortillas had been cut out to make room to hide nearly 3 pounds of methamphetamine inside the packages.

The suspect, a Nogales resident, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations, officials said.
