The man takes off running and flees the house at a high speed as soon as the decoration begins to make spooky sounds.
"I thought it was pretty funny that he got scared," Pelt told WKMG-TV. "I don't even know if his underwear was clean when he got home. I mean, he took off like a bat."
"I think he didn't think she would make any noise," Pelt said.
The homeowner said she was shocked that someone would try to steal such an item on the night before Halloween.
"Nothing is sacred anymore," Pelt said. "Like, nobody's property, no matter what."
