MANCHESTER, England, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Police responded to the side of a highway in Manchester, England, to help two women dealing with an unusual situation -- an escaped snake in their car.
The North West Motorway Police tweeted Sunday that Greater Manchester Police officers stopped on M60 highway to help two women whose pet snake escaped from its cage and was missing somewhere in the car.
"Snake! -- We have escorted the ladies off the network. Now at a safe place where they can try and get it back in its cage. #neveradullmoment." a follow-up tweet said.
Police said the snake, a baby python, was found coiled around the seat adjustment lever under the driver's seat.
GMP Traffic police tweeted a photo of the snake's trail peeking out from under the seat.
"Assisting a motorist on hard shoulder, it's not everyday you hear a snake is on the lose!" the tweet said.
