Tech vlogger 'traps' iPhone 7 in rubber for five hours

SACRAMENTO, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A California-based tech vlogger who specializes in creative tests for smartphones set out to answer a question no one was asking: What happens to an iPhone covered in rubber?

Sacramento-based vlogger TechRax posted a video to YouTube titled, "What Happens If You Trap an iPhone 7 in Rubber?"

TechRax sets out to answer the question in the video by taking a brand new iPhone 7 and covering it in silicon mold.

The vlogger allowed the rubber to harden for five hours before peeling away the rubber and revealing the phone remains in perfect working condition.
