PERTH, Australia, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A crow was identified at a crime scene in Australia after police found a bag of methamphetamine at a local gas station.

Surveillance video shared by Western Australia Police showed the criminal crow digging the drugs out of a garbage can near the service station where it was later found by two Regional Operations Group officers.

"No one was in the immediate vicinity so they decided to check the service station CCTV to try and identify a person or vehicle responsible for the drugs," police said.

Much to their surprise the crow was the only suspect pictured at the scene, as it burrowed into the garbage and pulled out the bag before fleeing the scene.

Police seized the drugs and continued inquiries into how they arrived at the gas station in the first place.
