LANDAFF, N.H., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Police in New Hampshire helped a wedding ceremony get back on track as they tracked down a missing person who happened to be the groom's mother.
New Hampshire State Police responded to reports of a missing person who had wandered into the woods near her rental property in Landaff and had been missing for four hours.
"It turned out that the missing person and her family were from Massachusetts, and were in town for the wedding of her son and her soon-to-be daughter-in-law," police said.
The mother was eventually located by police in the nearby woods and was ultimately returned to her family so the wedding could proceed as planned.
"The wedding was delayed for several hours, but the bride and groom will definitely have a story for the future," police said. "Congratulations to the Guarino's on their nuptials!"
