LONDON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- A real-life Rocketeer donned his self-designed jetpack at London's Royal Victoria Docks and soared high above the water.

Australian entrepreneur David Mayman took his new JB-10 model jetpack, which featured airplane-like engines, for its inaugural British flight Wednesday morning at the docks.

Mayman said the jetpack, which can sustain human flight for up to 10 minutes and reach speeds of up to 60 mph, is one of only two in the world.

Mayman previously made headlines last year when he took a previous jetpack model, the JB-9, for a flight around New York's Statue of Liberty.
