Competing python suitors take fight into homeowner's swimming pool

NOOSA HEADS, Australia, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- An Australian homeowner captured video of two male pythons taking their fight over a female into a swimming pool.

A series of videos posted to YouTube by user Fiona Sheen shows the two male pythons start their wrestling match at the side of the pool and soon end up clinging to a hose inside the water while trading blows.

Sheen said the pythons were males fighting for the attention of a female.

"The pythons were fighting over a nearby female python. All three pythons have been hanging around our place and our neighbor's place for over a month," Sheen said.
