Fed-up volcanologist has cards printed in response to annoying 'Star Trek' jokes

HONOLULU, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- A volcanologist showed distaste with repeated bad jokes about the alternate spelling "vulcanologist" with business cards explaining, "No, not like 'Star Trek.'"

Redditor Haoleopteryx posted a photo of the business cards he had specially printed to deal with constant jokes about the name of the profession.

"No, not like 'Star Trek,'" the cards read. "That's a good one, though. I haven't heard it before."

"Vulcan-ologist, hah! I get it!"

The Redditor said he is constantly bombarded with tongue-in-cheek questions from people who ask if he studies Spock and his Vulcan brethren.

"I'm a volcanologist and I really don't know how it took me so long to actually get around to making these," he wrote.
