"One appliance from Rugby was mobilized and crews confirmed one male member of staff on a train had his hand stuck in a coffee machine," a spokesperson told the Rugby Advertiser.
The worker sustained minor cuts to his hand and forced the train headed from Holyhead to London Euston to be delayed for more than 20 minutes.
"Crews used small gear and hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty," the spokesperson said. "An Ambulance was requested to attend due to the casualty having lacerations to their hand."
No other trains on the route were delayed as a result of the incident.
