"Police picked up the friendly bobby calf in Phillipstown, after receiving reports that a 'cattlebeast' was wandering on the road," police wrote.

According to Stuff, the calf was handed over to animal control where it will be re-homed after spending a night in jail.

"He was taken back to the cells for the night but feeding him proved tricky, with not a lot of grass to be had at the station and the calf having an apparent aversion to trim milk," police said.
