Russell Latter of Adelaide Hills said he was walking near the Woodhouse Scout Camp when he found the drenched koala searching for respite from the flood waters. Advertisement "I walked behind him to shuffle him along and he saw a fence post and he was quite excited by that and he climbed up on it," Latter told The Advertiser. "He then looked at me as if to say 'Thanks for that, now find me a gum tree.'" Latter snapped a photo and posted it to Facebook, where it quickly went viral with more than 1,000 shares. The resident later posted a video of the drenched koala wandering around in the rain. Latter said he returned to the scene Thursday to check in on the koala, and discovered the marsupial appeared none the worse for wear after its ordeal. "Found him snoozing in a nearby tree," Latter said. "Not so wet any more."
