HAMILTON, Australia, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- An Australian couple filmed a kangaroo they spotted swimming to safety after being stranded by high flood waters.
The video, filmed in Hamilton, Victoria, amid heavy rains this week, shows the kangaroo with only its head above flood waters as it heads toward shore.
The couple can be heard rooting for the marsupial and complimenting its swimming skills.
"He struggled while caught in the current but managed to swim over to where we were and finally to safety," the uploader wrote. "Amazingly strong swimmer and a very different view of a kangaroo in action in Australia."
