PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- A Philadelphia woman had to skip her fitness class when she received a minor injury from an unusual accident -- being struck by a fish falling out of the sky.

Lisa Lobree said she was on her way to her CoreFitness class in Fairmount Park, near the Art Museum, when she heard a rustling in the trees followed by the feeling of impact on her head.

"I think it might have been head, face, and neck because I smelled so bad afterwards. I smelled disgusting," Lobree told CBS Philadelphia.

She said her walking companion figured out the cause of her discomfort.

"It bounced off Annie. Annie sees me go down, turns around, looks and goes 'Oh my God! It was a fish,'" Lobree said.

Witnesses reported seeing a large bird fly away from the location of the fallen catfish, which measured about 16 inches long and weighed up to 5 pounds.

Lobtree, who suffered a cut near her eye, said she can see the humor in the situation.

"Think it's just nice it's giving people a good story to laugh at," she said.

She said the situation could have been far more serious.

"It could have been so much worse," she told Philly.com. "What if it hit a child? It was a not a fun experience, but there are so many worse things that could've happened. It's probably one of the strangest things that have happened to me in my life."
