Golfers encounter venomous cobra on Taiwan golf course

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A Taiwan golfer posted a video of a tense encounter with a venomous cobra guarding its patch of grass on a course before being struck by a ball.

Edward Chuang, a golf enthusiast in Taiwan, posted a video to Instagram of a cobra displaying threatening behavior toward a group of golfers at an unidentified course.

"What will you do when you meet cobra on the course?" Chuang wrote in the video's caption.

The snake makes threatening gestures toward its human observers before being struck in its midsection by a golf ball. The ball does not appear to injure the reptile, but it lets out an angry hiss in response.
