Pythons battle for territory on woman's roof for more than an hour

GOONENGERRY, Australia, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- An Australian homeowner captured footage of two male pythons engaged in an hour-long action movie-style fight on her roof.

Becky Beale posted a video to Facebook showing the two carpet pythons dangling from the roof of her Goonengerry home with their bodies intertwined in a grappling match.

The snakes snap their jaws at one another as they slowly pull themselves up to the rooftop.

A second video of the hourlong confrontation between the warring serpents shows them separated and striking at one another while upright on the roof.

Beale said the snakes eventually fell to her second-story deck to finish their fight. She said the larger snake eventually claimed victory, with the smaller python slithering off into the bushes in defeat.
