SUV stops on busy Texas highway to rescue traffic-dodging kitten

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A driver stopped on a busy stretch of Texas highway during rush hour so a passenger could rescue a frightened kitten seen darting through traffic.

The dashcam video, filmed Aug. 29 on a stretch of highway in Austin, shows the kitten running through slow-moving traffic.

The driver in front of the filming vehicle stops, allowing a male passenger to run out of the SUV and grab the kitten from the road.

The man gets back into the vehicle with the rescued feline and the SUV drives away.
