CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- A Canadian pet owner allowed their tortoise to practice his problem-solving skills when the reptile found himself stuck on a wooden beam.

The video, filmed at the owner's home near Calgary, Alberta, shows Khoopa the tortoise wiggling his legs while his shell rests on a wooden beam.

The tortoise tries to walk away from the beam, but his legs don't touch the ground enough to get a grip.

Khoopa is eventually able to free himself by rocking back and forth.
