MULDROW, Okla., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- A police chief in Oklahoma helped free a curious kitten after its head became stuck in a can of pasta.

Muldrow Police Department shared video of the rescue as Assistant Chief Tim Keith's daughter spotted the feline in distress as he drove her to school.

"As they drove down their road, the daughter yelled 'Dad-Stop!' There's a cat that's hurt," Police said. "Upon stopping, Chief Keith found this cat with it's head stuck in a Ravioli can."

Keith exited his vehicle to approach the cat and attempted to safely pull the can off of its head.

After several forceful tugs the kitten was eventually freed from the can and could be seen sprinting away.
