Driver swerves to avoid couch falling from truck on the highway

KUNMING, China, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- A Chinese car's dashcam was recording when the driver was forced to make a hurried lane change to avoid a sofa that fell off the back of a truck.

The video shows a car traveling behind a truck on a highway in Kunming, Yunnan Province, on Aug. 21 when a couch falls from the top of the truck's stacked load.

The sofa bounces on the road and appears to be headed straight for the car, but the driver is able to avoid it by changing lanes.

The fallen couch did not cause any crashes, but it was unclear whether it was damaged by the fall.
