ST. AMANT, La., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A man surveying flood damage at a Louisiana home discovered an armadillo that had taken shelter inside one of the walls of the house.

A video posted to Instagram by Dustin Anderson shows a man check out the damage to Anderson's St. Amant home after recent rains brought heavy flooding to the area.

The man discovers an armadillo that apparently sought shelter from the flood inside a wall of the home.

The armadillo puts up a struggle, but the man is able to catch it by the tail and carry it outside.

"We had an intruder overnight," Anderson wrote.
