ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Florida's self-styled "Gator Crusader" shared video of an alligator appropriately named Chomper biting down on a specially made birthday cake.

Jorge Gamboa, aka "The Gator Crusader," posted a video to YouTube showing the celebration he held for Chomper's birthday in Orlando.

Gamboa puts up a banner and blows up balloons, which he attaches to a wooden fence, before retrieving Chomper's birthday cake from the fridge.

"Normally I don't like to give my alligators sugar, they're more meat eaters, but I figure one day a week is OK," Gamboa says.

The video switches to slow motion as Gamboa throws the cake into the alligator's jaws, which quickly snap shut around the confection.
