Man takes 'Olympic' swim in Louisiana flood

NEW IBERIA, La., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A Louisiana man called upon his Olympic spirit to make the best of flooded streets and heavy rain in the area.

Jo Guidry, a triathlete from New Iberia, shared video of himself swimming laps in a knee-deep pool of water alongside a local road.

"Watching the Olympics + living in South Louisiana," he wrote.

Olympians in Rio also faced unusual water conditions, as water in a diving pool turned green prior to the women's synchronised 10m platform event on Tuesday.
