Pregnant buffalo rescued from roadside cable well

HECHI, China, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- A group of Chinese firefighters used power tools and construction equipment to rescue a pregnant buffalo that fell into a roadside cable well.

The video, filmed Monday in Hechi, Guangxi Province, shows the firefighters using tools to expand the opening of the well.

The pregnant buffalo, which apparently fell into the uncovered well when it was concealed by overgrown grass, was eventually able to climb out of the hole with help from the rescuers.

Firefighters said the rescue lasted for about five hours.
