QINGDAO, China, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- A total 1,007 small robots completed a synchronized dance routine in China to boogie their way into the Guinness Book of World Records.

The event, part of the 2016 Qingdao International Beer Festival in the Huangdao District of Qingdao, featured 1,040 robots starting a dance routine that 1,007 of the 17.2-inch-tall machines were able to complete.

Guinness World Records confirmed the event surpassed the record of 540 robots dancing, which was set in February in the city of Shenzhen, China.

Guinness adjudicator Wu Xiaohong said the robots had to dance for at least a minute without stopping or falling over to qualify for the record.
