Kayaker has close encounter with pair of humpback whales

HALF MOON BAY , Calif., July 21 (UPI) -- A kayaker in California witnessed a pair of humpback whales emerging from the water while out on a fishing trip.

Eddy Willis shared video of the two massive whales rising up from the water and bumping together right in front of his boat.

Willis also shared more photos of the whales and said he had encountered them multiple times while out on the water.

"It's happened more than once I have video from three different times they just were everywhere," Willis wrote.
