JUPITER, Fla., July 18 (UPI) -- A Florida woman who encountered a friendly manatee while paddleboarding captured video of the animal using its flippers to prop itself up on her board.

Celine Chasteen said she was out paddleboarding with a friend recently in Jupiter when they encountered a pair of manatees.

Chasteen said one of the manatees seemed particularly playful and repeatedly rolled over onto its back before putting its flippers on her board.

She told WPTV the counter was "the craziest thing ever."

"At first, I was like, 'What is going on?' But honestly, it was so cool. I've never experienced anything like that before," Chasteen told The Dodo. "I thought he was really cute. He was really nice and stuff. I hope he drops by again."
