BRISBANE, Australia, July 14 (UPI) -- An Australian bat rescuer shared video of an adorable baby flying fox being soothed with a pacifier after failing to leave for the winter.
The video, posted to Facebook by the Batzilla the Bat rescue, shows a baby flying fox named Miss Rainbow being swaddled in blankets and using a pacifier to keep calm in Queensland.
"Although we can only see one of Miss Rainbow's ears in the video as the other one is tucked up, it is interesting to watch that ear swiveling and listening intently," the Facebook post said.
"Flying-foxes have excellent hearing which is used in conjunction with equally good eyesight ensuring that they are fully cognizant of their surroundings at all times," the rescuer said.
The rescue said Miss Rainbow and her mother, Marg, were brought to the rescue when they failed to leave the area for the winter.
