Pennsylvania firefighters free fox from soccer net

NEW HOPE, Pa., July 11 (UPI) -- A fox that found itself trapped by the neck in a soccer net was freed by firefighters with a Pennsylvania fire department.

The New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company posted a video to Facebook showing the Saturday morning rescue at a local soccer field.

The video shows the firefighters, who were assisted by Solebury Township Police and Medic 146, keeping the fox calm and still while they cut through the net.

The rescuers carried the fox away from the soccer net before setting it down to run away.

"Run wild, run free!" the Facebook post said.
