Irish man uses drone to rescue friend locked in bathroom

CORK, Ireland, July 8 (UPI) -- An Irish man used his quadcopter drone to rescue a friend who became trapped in a bathroom that wouldn't unlock from the inside.

Cillian Irish of Cork posted a video to YouTube showing how he rescued a friend who became locked inside a bathroom and had the only available key to the door trapped inside with her.

Irish flew his DJI Phantom over the building and used it to lower a piece of twine to the window of the bathroom where the woman was trapped.

The woman was able to tie the key to the twine and Irish brought the drone back to earth, where he retrieved the key.

The uploader said he was able to use the key to open the bathroom door from the outside and free his friend.
