JAKARTA, July 5 (UPI) -- Tourists visiting an Indonesian wildlife park encountered a pair of real-life "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" that opened their mouths wide for some thrown carrots.
The video, posted to YouTube by user stewandbritt, shows a pair of hippopotamuses at the Indonesian park attempting to catch carrots thrown by a couple of U.S. tourists from their guide's car.
"I couldn't get the carrots in the poor guys mouth. In my defense it's difficult to throw out of the passenger side of the car (driver's side was by the hippo)," the uploader wrote.
The Indonesian driver can be heard joking that the hippos only like carrots thrown by tourists, and one of the hippos demonstrates by keeping its mouth shut while the driver throws a vegetable.
"See? He only wants from you," the driver says as the hippo opens its mouth again.
