Slow motion footage shows detailed movements of hummingbird's wings

KATHLEEN, Ga., June 23 (UPI) -- A Georgia man used a GoPro camera top capture super slow-motion footage of a hummingbird that shows the movements of the avian's wings.

Greg Hogan posted a video to Facebook showing the result of mounting the camera next to the hummingbird feeder at his Kathleen home.

The slowed-down footage offers a rare look at the movements of the hummingbird's wings.

"I have been trying to image and capture hummingbirds for years, today I may have caught my best footage yet," Hogan wrote. "Using a GoPro mounted to the feeder at 1080/60fps I caught one and slowed the video down to show the motion of the wings. How incredible to see them move the way they do."
