Young girl caught painting dog's nails by 'suspicious' mother

WASHINGTON, June 22 (UPI) -- A dog was discovered with a set of freshly painted nails when a "suspicious" mother went to check on her daughter and the pet.

A Twitter user by the name of Kate shared photos of the result of leaving her daughter unattended with the family pet as the dog was seen sleeping with hot pink nails on its hind paws.

"When your child and your dog disappear upstairs for an hour, you should totally be suspicious," she wrote.

It's unclear whether the dog was already sleeping when the girl performed the manicure, but the neatly painted, pink nails also feature a coat of glitter as shown in a close up of one of the paws.
