SOSNOVOBORSK, Russia, June 20 (UPI) -- A Russian car owner captured footage of the unusual reason they were unable to drive: an owl taking a rest by perching at the base of the windshield.

The video, recorded in Sosnovoborsk, shows the calm bird taking a morning rest on the hood of a car at the base of its windshield.

The uploader said the owl appeared to be sleeping off a hard night of hunting when the car's owner found it.
