MERRIMACK, N.J., June 7 (UPI) -- Police officers in New Hampshire helped to rescue a python that was found in a nearby parking lot.
The Merrimack Police Department shared photos of the snake, which officers discovered in a driveway across from a BAE Systems building in Merrimack, south of Manchester.
"You never know what your next call will be!" the police department wrote on Facebook.
Officer Vandersyde, who responded to the scene, helped rescue the snake and brought it to Bedford Animal Rescue League.
CBS Boston reports that the League said the python was likely being kept as a pet. They are looking for someone willing to adopt it.
