Virginia woman wakes to bear fight on her back porch

FRONT ROYAL, Va., May 27 (UPI) -- A Virginia woman who awoke to a ruckus on her back porch caught footage of the cause: two black bears having a less-than-civil disagreement on her back porch.

Danielle Hiserman of Front Royal posted a video to Facebook Wednesday showing the two bears on her back porch going through her belongings while growling and swatting at one another.

"Not exactly how I wanted to be woken up," she wrote in the video's description.

Hiserman told WJLA-TV she was concerned the bears' brawl could cause them to crash through her sliding glass door.

"I was kind of worried about what was going to happen if they were going to get more serious fighting," she said.

She said the bears left after about 30 minutes of destructive behavior, including trampling her flowers and damaging a fence.
