She can be seen gripping onto the miniature set of water skis as a boat pulled her along the lake on May 21, 2016.

Adults also swam alongside the skis to ensure Zyla completed her trip safely.

A day earlier Zyla made another attempt at the record but only managed to travel about 62 feet before her ride came to an end.

According to the World Barefoot Center, Zyla's father Keith also set a pending record for barefoot waterskiing just before his daughter set her record.

The previous record for the youngest water skier was held by a 6-month, 29-day-old boy who traveled about 100 feet.
