Camper awakes to find lions licking water from her tent

KGALAGADI TRANSFRONTIER PARK, Botswana, May 24 (UPI) -- A camper in Botswana awoke to discover some thirsty lions licking accumulated drops of water from the outside wall of her tent.

South African tourist Francie Francisca Lubbe‎ posted a video to the Kgalagadi Sightings group on Facebook showing the footage she recorded from inside her tent May 9 in Botswana's Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

The video shows three female lions licking the water drops from the outside of Lubbe's tent the morning after a rainy night.

Lubbe also captured some photos of the lionesses wandering around her campsite after partially unzipping the door to her tent.

"What a privilege. It rained during the night and [we found] 3 lioness licking the water from the tent," Lubbe wrote.
