Police: 'Hot pursuit' of escaped bull ended by cowboy's lasso

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 11 (UPI) -- A Texas police department said a "hot pursuit" of an escaped bull charging through a residential neighborhood was brought to an end by a lasso-wielding cowboy.

The Arlington Police Department posted a video to Facebook Tuesday showing a police car chasing after the escaped bull through a residential street.

The department later posted a second video to YouTube showing dashboard camera footage from the patrol car.

"Only in Texas," police wrote, "Hot pursuit of a bull."

"Here's the good news! The bull was not hurt and followed by APD officers until a cowboy arrived to lasso the bull safely. The bull was returned to the owner," police in a Facebook post.
