"It apparently was born with no hind legs or tail and now gets around by dong a handstand and walking on its front legs. Funky stuff," the uploader wrote.
"Since everyone keeps asking me to do so and I'm in town for the next two weeks, I'm gonna keep an eye out for our half-squirrel and take him in if I find him. There's a lady in my town who takes care of squirrels that have been abandoned, and I think she'll happily take care of this guy. I'll be sure to post another video if that happens," Ian T wrote in a comment.
He said in a follow-up video that the "half-squirrel" has been seen on two separate occasions a few days apart, "so we at least know that he's able to survive a few days on his own."
Ian T said he is "keeping an eye out" for the squirrel to capture better video and ensure it is able to take care of itself in the wild.
