Puppy confused by failure to walk away from escalator

CHONGQUING, China, April 21 (UPI) -- A confused puppy in China was caught on camera misunderstanding the concept of an escalator and attempting to walk in the wrong direction.

The video, filmed earlier this year in Chongquing, shows the small puppy at the bottom of an escalator trying to walk away from the moving stairs.

The ground beneath the puppy moves in the opposite direction at the same rate of speed, making it appear as though the dog isn't moving at all.

The puppy continues to attempt his wrong-way walk for several confusing seconds.
