MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, April 18 (UPI) -- A gymnastics coach at a competition in Ontario leapt into action when a practice run went wrong and caught a gymnast who appeared headed for injury.

Something goes wrong as Tuite is launching herself from a horizontal bar and she appears to be headed for potential injury by falling face-first toward an area of floor not protected by mats.

Laurentide jumps into action, catching Tuite and doing a somersault as the pair land on the floor.

The coach's heroic grab earned applause from onlookers.

The Gym magic Gymnastics Club said on Facebook the coach was given an "award" for "Best Catch Ever."
