ZHENGZHOU, China, April 13 (UPI) -- A Chinese fisherman captured video of a "romantic" fish chasing his apparent mate as she was being reeled in and netted.

The video, filmed Sunday in Zhengzhou, Henan Province shows a fish identified by the filmer as a male chasing after a hooked fish, identified as female by the fisherman.

The loose fish chases after his apparent mate as she is brought close to shore.

The star-crossed underwater lovers are then caught in the same net as the fisherman laughs at the unusual catch.
